Default Help!! Rattle in 2006 SUV

A rattle has started in the rear cargo area. I have narrowed it down to the drivers side under the carpet/underside etc. I even rode in back with the hatch open and spare tire swing arm locked/unlocked.I checked the jack.I pulled both storage trays over wheel wells and put my hand in as far as I could, nothing.

I crawled under the rear underside and looked, touched, shook anything I could see/think of,nothing. This started a couple weeks after buying. The temps.in the area are cold, colder than when I purchased. The noise is produced by small road bumps and less. Reminds me of a loose bracket/attachment.

Here are a few things I will or have checked : Nerf/sidestep bars,Shock bushing,Shock bolts, exhaust, tire carrier, bumper and frame to underside chassis attach bolts.

Any other ideas??

Get used to these rattles, esp in interior as truck gets older. The door panels will drive you nuts.

I replaced my rear shocks and the replacements had a gap in the lower mounts between the shock bushing and the mount tangs. Shock would jiggle from side to side in the bumps making a ton of noise. Shimmed it with a thin washer and the noise stopped.

The rear license plate? My spare would rattle before I took it off the back.
Just turn up the radio if you can't find it.
