The vibration is most likely your rotors are warped.

You have a stuck caliper and one of the brakes is dragging and true like Mark just said, as a result of a overheated brake rotor, it probably has warped.

If your brake rotor is warped, that is usually do to excessive heat build up, which is caused mostly by really hard braking. If you brake hard, your rotors will eventually warp, especially if you are exposed to extremely changing temperatures. You should NOT have a warped brake rotor already, unless as Dennis said, your caliper is stuck. There are pistons in the caliper that push the brake pad against the rotor/disc to stop your vehicle. If one of those pistons is frozen, it may be rubbing the brake pad on the rotor ALL the time, which is causing the heat to warp the rotor, and the smell you smell, AND the grinding noise, because your brake pad is probably wearing right down to nothing. They need to check this stuff out. That is a serious issue.

They should have caught that the first time around. That bothers me that an experienced mechanic would not have caught that.
