I just installed Nasta Nerf Bars on my wifes H3, I am getting an annoying rattle when I go over bumps in the road, anyone know how to fix this problem?

 

Only explanation is..........Something was not tightened up.

 

You would think that, but I used an air compressor socket wrench, if anything the bolts might be over tightened, not sure if that would cause a problem.

 

Did you move around or mess with the e-breake cable? That has caused some noise on some rides.

 

I get the rattle on both sides of the truck, a friend of mine says its normal for after market bars but I am not convinced.

 

Maybe they left something inside the bars. A bolt, nut, or a taboff one of the pads.

 

Rattles tend to radiate all over the place. So when you say you get a rattle on both sides, I assume you are inside the H3 going down the highway. Very hard to say where it is really coming from when doing this. Nerf Bars should not rattle. I would suggest you take off one side and see if the problem goes away. If not take off the other side too. I am sure you will find which side it is coming from in this fashion.
