It was on 3rd party insurance so basically it doesnt covered. Well i'm not in US teritorry,I'm just an Expat living in Abu Dhabi and finding parts for Hummer would be a challenge. Hummer is always my dream car and owning 1 is a pride for me,as a self achievement becoz I will never get a chance owning 1 back in my own home country.

 

the mech told me the cause was from the battery. battery blown up due to battery defect. to make matter worse it no more under warranty.

 

finally after 2 months,my car ready for test drive. the cause for the delay was i'm ask the mechanic to look for used parts,obviously it is the cheapest option. few parts still missing : fuse junction box cover and engine ecu cover. anybody know where can i get those covers?
earlier i mentioned the coz of the fire is the battery,but well it is comin from a faulty alternator. Mechanic tested the alternator and found it doesn't stop charging even-thou the battery is full. so i get a new alternator,new brake master cylinder and new engine bay hood steel cable. the rest is used item.

Did you ever determine what caused the fire?

 

look like he is. the engine wiring harness replaced completely and i know this require a macgyver type of skill huh...

 

according to him alternator was the culprit coz it keeping on charging so the battery get overheat ( DYR CELL TYPE ) and exploded, I CAN SEE A HUGE BLAST MARK ON THE SIDE OF THE BATTERY.

 

Now i need to know how to perform relearn procedure.anybody got any idea?
