Help.. which filter for airdoc

Default Help.. which filter for airdoc

Hey guys i am at auto zone now and cant figure out which filter to use with my airdoc. Is it a flat one like stock or a cone one. I see some spectras but cant see how they will fit to the insise of air box lol help

depends on your year.... some are flat and some are round...

Diddo on what Muddy said! 06/07 had a round cone filter and than they switched to a flat style 08-10 years... Must... Have... More... Info

Thanks guys i have anto 08 alpha so i need a stock size flat. Either k&n or spectra then

Yea either or are good, however the K&N need to be oiled and can be a PIA if your gonna wheel the Hummer... That's why I have 3 to effectively clean them you need to really clean them and oil them and let them sit overnight, but there's nothing like forgetting to do it till last min and getting sh*t all over your clean work clothes! Sorry ranting a little lol

That's exactly why I run a Spectra dry filter

You're right, with an '08 you need the flat one.

I run K&N in all my vehicles. Just personal choice. The oiling can be a PITA, but I deal with it.

I have run a lot of different filters on past H3 Alphas (K&N, Afe Dry, etc.) and found that the a WIX paper filter changed on a regular basis has been the best "investment wise" and if it does get wet I have a spare in the rear.

If you meant "Spectre", personally I would not even think about their made in china stuff.

Yeah, their company address may be in CA, but they have what they develop made in china.
