My second fill up.

422.6 miles/ 24.6 gallons = 17.17 mpg

about 390 miles was hwy-- and about 32 was city/town driving.

Not too bad.. I think a bed cover will help.

It is easy to get decent gas mileage once you accept the fact that flooring this truck does absolutely nothing but make noise and waste gas. (It is kinda sad) but... you get better gas mileage when you keep the RPMs below 3500 when merging etc.. And cruising at around 70-75 puts the Rpms around 2.3k- 2.5K.

I wonder what a supercharger would do for the trucks as far as that get up and go power, and the gas mileage? (assuming you drive fairly the same) (except in passing and merging situations)

 

When I drive the H3, it gets 14mpg at best. When my wife drives it, it's 17+. It's all in your driving style. I regularly drive a 2009 Ram w/ Hemi & mods, so power is plentiful, so the H3 gets floored a lot by me...

 

yeah,, but after less than a week, I have already realized that flooring it does almost nothing.

Ya know what I mean?
