My husband bought me a new H3, it looks fab but I'm having so much trouble with various technical faults Ive had the car since november 2006 andit's had a new reversing light, a new solenoid selector for the 4wd and stab sys, the exhaust had to be modified to stop it hitting the body and now it has a missfire and has been in GMotors for the past two weeks and still is not fixed. New spark plugs etc. Has anyone had the same problems or was mine built on a friday evening before the shift ended.[:@]

 

Sounds like you may be a candidate for the infamous head problem ... does it idle rough as well!?

Yes it started with a rough idle and just got worse. Thanks for lettin me know about this problem I didn't know there was such major problem. I will check out other posts.

 

There are quite a few members on here who have had this problem ... I'm in an H2 myself so I obviously don't have any experience with it first hand ... Above and beyond the rough idle and misfire there should be some tell tale codes being triggered as well. Your service guy should be able to tell ... If I recall correctly one was I THINK0990 or close to it. Would anyone like to chime in here and set me straight on the codes??

The code that came up indicated a problem with one of the spark plugs. It has had all 5 replaced and it still has a problem. Looks like I'm in for a long wait for my motor to be fixed. I sometimes wish I would have got a Nissan! I will look up any info I can. Thanks for all your help and advice.
