Hello from Va. H3 question.
Update: Still waiting on dealer to get it through their inspection process so I can drive it. However. I did call a GM dealer and got a rundown: Cylinder head was replaced in 07 at 25,552 miles, now has 118, 893. I'm wondering if they put the "better" head on then? What are you guys' thoughts?
All heads made after March 31, 2006 had the hardened valve seats. Thus, it would have been near impossible to put a pre-fix head on your truck (they would have had to pull a used defective one off another complete motor to do it).
Good to know. Thank you for the info. That makes me feel better about buying it. It's supposed to be ready for me to drive early next week. Any other things to look for or other tips? Thanks a million!
Well guys, I ended up buying a 2008 with 65k for $17000. It might be a little high, but fair price according to KBB. It is in excellent condition! Driving it home tomorrow from NC to VA. I think it was a better choice over the 06 with 118k. Hope I made a good purchase.
