Default Hello from Va. H3 question.

Hello all! I've recently been bitten by the Hummer bug. I found a 06 H3 locally for $15k with 118k miles. Should I buy it? What should I look for before buying? I'm totally new so all help feedback is appreciated. Thanks all!

Sounds steep for a n 06. Look at some others to get a good deal.

What's a good price for that year?

After reading the description, it mentions leather seats, monsoon system, power moonroof, towing/suspension package. It's only described as an H3. I'm wondering if it's a Lux model, etc? Your thoughts?

Did you mean "worth" 15k? I'm not sure if it is the Lux, just guessing. I'm waiting on it to get through the inspection process at the dealership, then I'll take her for a drive. Anything in particular I should look for that would be a red flag? Also, I'm definitely nd talk them down on the price. Thanks.

2006 H3s had the 3.5L L52
Is the serial # lower than ending in 287591, that being the range of 06 H3s built with the defective valve seats???? Has the head been replaced???

2007s went to 3.7L, 20 HP&TQ bump.

If you buy an 06, you want to get it cheap as possible, the 2007+ are a better buy because of the 3.7L LLR.

Yes, I have looked into this. It is 276127, so its in range. I'm waiting for the dealer to run it through inspection process at the moment. I'm also going to have the VIN checked through another GM dealership, and have someone else give it a once over for me. Just waiting on them to let me know when I can take it for a test drive. Hopefully all that has been replaced, if not, maybe it was one of the good ones if they haven't gone out by this mileage. I'll let ya'll know when I find out more. Thanks!

get a used car GM warranty (not the aftermarket) uses all OEM parts, 6 month or 1 year policy.
