I have a question. My 2006 H3 Adventure has had the steering rack replaced. It was a complete unit with rod ends and all. Can I tell what size they are just by looking at them? I know someone said some are black, some are silver....if I wanted to order spares to carry for wheeling, how would I know what ones to order?

Use a 14MM and 16MM open end wrench to determine the diameter of the tie rods. If you have 14MM you will need 14MM spares (but your better off upgrading to 16MM) and if you have 16MM tire rods, you need 16MM spares.
