Question To heavy?

I won a deal on a set of pit bull tires. Their web sight says the rocker radial in 315/75/16 are 84# each. My stock 285/75/16 weigh 54#. what kind of problems is the extra weight going to do on my 2010 H3

Send a PM to recovery21 (Jesse). He has pit bull tires. (He may have a different model... but I'm pretty sure all of the Pitbulls are heavy.)

The extra weight will make you more susceptible to breaking half shafts and tie rods when wheeling.

They looked good but they weigh about 10# more than all the other tires I looked at

Jim, the weight will be fine, just remember it is there when wheeling.

That's my point.... Jesse has had 3 front diffs and he wheels as gentle as anyone I know.... he is steady and I've never seen him in anything less than a controlled situation.

WOW! You must really need a lot of tires! Did you read it closely? It is discounted when you buy a set of four.

I have the 315/75/16 Rocker Radials and yes, they are HEAVY! It doesn't take much for damage to happen with them as Stan has said. Now that my warranty is running out, I will probably end up losing them for a lighter tire. Also, do you plan on getting a matching spare? I wouldn't recommend hanging that on the back door either... I'm not sure how structurally sound the rear door is, but it is a lot of weight to be hanging on there.

You will definitely get a better deal with that Mickey Thompson one you won also. Plus their tires are cheaper and you will be saving more.

This was the latest mishap from the tires. It is not a good sound when you hear your front differential just explode into pieces. It was real bad and then all of a sudden it got quiet again. Another bad sign... I still have the spider gear as a little souvenir.
