If the fan quits here are some places to check before you take it to a shop. Check the fuses; most likely not the problem. It will probably be the resistor pack and the harness. It is a common problem that it shorts out and melts the plug and harness. It is located under the glove box. Undo the two screws that are holding a clear plug into the fan (resisitor). A very helpful hint is TAKE OFF THE GLOVE BOX (3 SCREWS). The parts will run you $50-$70 (everything). It took me about 30 minutes but that was taking my time. I hope this helps.

 

I had to replace this a few months ago. Unfortunately, I had to take it to a shop to get it fixed.
