Default Buying - On the fence - Land Cruiser or Hummer?

Looking to get myself a new offroad rig. I'm looking at either a 1991-1997 Land Cruiser or a Hummer H2/H3. Feed me your thoughts.

The Hummer will be cheaper to maintain. I bought my daughter one and it was very expensive to keep running. My Hummers have been among the most reliable trucks I have owned and I do offroad and daily drive them.

What made it so expensive (I'm assuming you're talking about the Land Cruiser)?

I like both, have driven more Cruisers but nothing beats the feel of the Hummer now that I have one!

This is a hummer forum, pretty biased toward Hummers as I would expect just about every one here either has owned one or is interested in buying one.

If for no other reason, an H2/H3 is going to be between 5 and 19 years newer than a '91-'97 Land Cruiser.

All I can suggest is figure out your budget, figure out what models fit your budget/requirements, then test drive a few.

I was close to buying a rover. I have a couple of friends that own dearlerships and both of them told me that rovers have electric suspension issues and to stay away from them.
