Hi all,

My headlight bulbs are the hi-lo beams.
Is it normal when flashing my lights, the light is not very different than when i don't flash. It is i think just upwards or downwards.
But using the fog lights, they are really bright and lite up the road really well.

This question is because on the european cars when we flash the lights, the whole road is illuminated, a whole lot more than the hummer H3 lights used while flashing.

I suppose it is normal, but just wanted to ask.

It is possible that just the high beam bulb is burnt out in the bulbs, With bulbs being relatively cheap you could replace with new as there are allot of newer bulbs that put out more light than stock bulbs. And yes the fogs are really bright which is a good thing.

 

If you run the fog lights with the low beams, it will look like they are brighter than the high beams because the fogs turn off when the high beams are turned on

 

the best deal is use a diode to turn fogs on when headlites are on,,,hi or lo.

On my 03 gmc seirra I bought a wiring kit that allowed me to have the fog light on with either high or low beam on at the same time. Is there a kit or a way to do the same thing to the H3.

 

do a search, read old stuff, its here somewhere. one diode jumper from light relay to fog relay. its a 10 cent part!
