Good morning from germany.

I'm on my way to install an oil pressure gauge on my 2006 H3, because i had the idiot light on when the truck was in idle. It was only a plugged oil pickup screen, but you all know how bad it is, to get the oil pan dropped....
Now i want to see my oil pressure all time, to be able to react before the oil light comes on.

There is a good tutorial on "355nation" i used to find the location and the fittings to get the pressure pickup installed.

https://www.355nation.net/forum/i4-i...ure-gauge.html

The thread above the oil filter, where the plug is removed, is metric M16 x 1,5.

As far as i know, does the pcm not provide data of the motor oil pressure...

Have a nice day...

Jens

Hey,
i finished installing an oil pressure gauge on my H3.
I had to clean the oil pickup screen, because it was clogged with pieces of carbon and i had the oil pressure alarm.

I used the discription, i wrote of in my previous post...

Here is a picture of the oil pressure sensor in place...

I placed the gauge on the left corner of the dashboard...

I even checked and cleaned up my valvecover...
You can see the missing sealant on the baffles. The H3 smoked a little bit blue, 20 seconds after startup

i removed the baffles and cleaned everything up?..

... and sealed everything with new rtv...

Tomorrow i have to reassamble the whole thing and check everything up...
