Has anyone ever had their truck custom painted? I currently have a white H3 but I would to change it to a color like this http://imgup-lb.automotive.com:8080/...62540.w700.jpg , Like the redish orange. Also does anyone have any idea of what something like this would cost? Many thanks in advance.

 

If you want it done correctly I'd prepare myself for a pretty hefty 4 digit sum if not a 5 digit. When we had our -75 Vette painted it ran us $8,200 dollars and this vehicle was completely stripped as a part of the restoration we did. Just bare sheet metal, no interior, no trim, NADA. Granted, they did a hell of a job shootin' the pearl white paint but we still performed 90% of the work on the vehicle before it hit paint, all they did was block it (we did the majority of the body work) and prep it for paint. Of course the usual process applies once the paint was on ..

 

I guess you could always take it to one of those cheapie paint places but all I gotto say is .. you get what you pay for ... and when the old color shows in the spots in the door jams like it did on my buddy's Nissan, you'll probably regret you took it there :-)

 

A custom paint job on my motorcyle was $6500 four years ago in Las Vegas. (Black Pearl with ghost flames). Did a lot of research on who the best custom painters were. This resulted in two or three and I found prices to be very close.
