and nice work, I like new parts
My next project is a gear change but the hurricanes and covid has really put a halt to things around here and it looks like it will be a while before I can get back to the H2.
Ok, the drivers side took about 2 hrs to complete, cv axle, upper and lower ball joints, steering rod, brake dust shield,, painting the steering knuckle. Not to bad. This side was much easier to work on.
Summary, the ABS, TC and parking break lights dissappeared from the dash, made me happy not to see xmas lights. Still have the check engine light on but thats due to cylinder 8 misfire issue and possibly bad O2 sensors.
Next steps
Replacing the pitman, idler bracket and arm and tighten up the steering column which seems to have about an inch of play, way too much. Then get the wheel alignment.
Further on the horizon, engine work, intake and manifold gaskets, knock sensors and wiring, see if the springs are still good, I may replace them all. New exhaust and then see what else this baby needs (a new set of wheels would be nice).
