On the subject of ********, I like what my wife said to a guy one day that was rude to her in in a store. After his action he looked at her to guage her reaction and she just calmly said, "It's ok, it's ******* day" and just turned away as several people around verbably complemented on her calm and witty replay while also shooting the guy in question unapproving and "eat sh*t and die looks". He soon had what appeared to be an instant sunburn and quickly slinked ahead in line, lol.

Arizona, you're kinda off a bit insulting Tainter. He was mearly squashing a thread that appeared to be started off the cuff with not research behind it, something that wastes readers time and takes up uneeded space. We've all done it at times in our web lives, no need to take offence if he seemed abrasive to you and sling insults or seem bitter in being called out. Thread would have been over by the third post with a simple, "You're right, was just typing while thinking before researching first, sorry about that brother." Which is what we need to be, lol, now that we are out in the cold on our own with no trust fund, written out of the will, and the door locks changed on us by our Hummer parents (GM) . Kind of like kids kicked aside to live with the grandparents after a bad divorce, GM remarried to the goverment and started their new lives together without us, . Not trying to sound Rodney Kingish, lol, let's play nice boys and girls and save the insults for GM where they are justified .

As far as conversations go..do I REALLLLLY need to research things I say before posting, especially if I am not giving advice. At this point, on THIS post I am sorry I ever brought it up. First time for that and it is too bad. Maybe there is someone else that like the dash boobies as I learned they are called. That is al I was going for. I like that moniker and will use it.

As for me anyway, I ride around in "real" Hummers in "rea"l places for a living and in a few days I will be back to that. I don't have time to fight or argue with people in cyber space. It has been fun. Enjoy your T's..mine will be parked for a while longer.

I have been in a LOT of hummers...the real thing. I will do some research. God help I find that there were ever dash boobies in any military HuMmer somewhere and "Mr. wants to be right..." is wrong haha..and just did not serve or enough to know what the interior of EVERY hummer in every configuration issued by the US military or sold to another country consists of Hahahhahahahah. As it is, the one he cited in the picture is NOT the original configuration of any real hummer air vents. The fact that he ced that nice plush Hummer as an example of an original tells me what I need to know.

I a nice piture of a REAL Hummer I will post later. Gotta go drive my poodle to the vet in my T ;-)

By the way I DID find one AFTERMARKET company that makes dash boobies for the HMMWV for private security companies.

 

HAHAHA! I have to remember that one!!! That made me do the same thing, and it is a good one to give to somebody without the explanation. Just to see if they know what it means, or if they are just laughing along without knowing.

If someone was thinking about buying and H3T and searched "H3T Changes" and found this thread, would their preconceived opinion of Hummer owners being rude/arrogant be dispelled or confirmed?

 

Many H1 models have round HVAC vents on the side of the center console by the arm rests and the 04-06 models have round rear AC vents. None ever had round dash HVAC vents. Arizona, use the search function first and if you don't find what you are looking for ask the question. Not everyone is a Hummer expert and some who think they are aren't as expert as they think.

 

I'm all for discussions, disagreements, and correct information - even an argument on such.

Though the original poster didn't seem to take a very polarizing stance - more like a statement or musing from someone who clearly isn't an expert. Instead of helping him as an expert, the first reply was: "WTF are you talking about?" - which, understandably, he saw as rude and insulting.

Certainly you can agree that you can have a discussion, disagreement, correct information, and even an argument without being insulting, right?
