H3 Transmission Issue
I have a 2006 H3 NEW motor. TRANSMISSION has about 50K miles on it. It Idles rough and drops out of overdrive after about 13 miles of steady 55MPH driving.
I have put new coils, cam shaft sensors, actuator, MAF, throttle body, 1-2 solenoids, TCC solenoid, Has new catyltic converters. all with less than 5000 miles
transmission drops out of OD and goes into 3rd gear. As soon as I shut motor down it re-sets itself and is fine for 10-15 minutes
Can any of you mechanics give me a clue as too what could be causing this?
I tried to find a relearn for TB but found nothing that works. When I worked on tranny there were no signs of wear or metal shavings. makes no noise and shifts fine until it drops out of 3rd. then shifts hard on the 1-2 **** until its turned off.
Thanks in advance

I you saying you replaced all that stuff because of the trans issue, or is that just a history of work done before the trans issue started?
Full Lockup with the 4L60e trans is controlled by the PCM in 2006/7 H3s. So your problem can be as simple as your battery not being fully charged or inconsistent voltage caused by the crappy OEM Battery Terminal Connectors up failure due to a bad trans valve body and/or toasted torque converter.
Something else you threw in there without explanation is attempting a TB relearn? It is a bolt on, start and let it idle for 3-5 minutes, finished.
If you are having TB issues, like those when the built in throttle position sensor is bad, or lack of sinc with the accelerator position sensor, then those can cause the trans to kick out of lockup because the PCM cannot accurately asses load cross correlated with throttle and/or pedal position and speed.
What you need to do is drive it with a scanner plugged into the OBDII port to see when the PCM commands lockup and watch that to see what is triggering the command to unlock like if there is an error is sensor read. That will root out any electronic problem. If there is no answer there, then you likely have a valve body issue.
Good luck.

So... My transmission not shifting / UN-solved wiring issue could be caused simply by not having a better connection between the battery and the cable connector..?"
Thanks Doc, I appreciate the tips, my connectors are factory items.
You are one of the only reasons I keep coming back here to search for answers and clues. I'm not "being an ***" or anything, I mean that sincerely.
