I have a 2007 H3 3.7 liter. Just yesterday I noticed that when you attempt sharp turns to either the left or the right, the rear tire on the side you are turning is "jerking"
and "spinning". The spin is momentary but continuous throughout the turn, if you don't stay on the clutch (it's a manual) it will stall. The ride is very jerky and stutters. Once you get straightened out it smooth's out and seems ok. It does this in 2WD, 4WD, and 4WD LO. In LO it does it if lockers are engaged or not engaged. It just started suddenly and for no reason that I can think of. Any ideas? I don't drive my H3 a lot and it only has 47k miles on it.

sounds like you're in lock mode,stuck there, lockers should lock only in lo lock

like the shift fork in the transfer case. has not been talked about much lately but was a big issue
over time here.

very stressfull on the running gear complete.

 

Sounds like your rear diff is not open. Something has it locked. Time to visit a ring and pinion shop.
