Default H3 purchase

Hi everyone,
Looking for a bit of help. I am going to purchase a h3 in the next month or so, I was wondering which packages should I look for and which to avoid. I am going to use the h3 primarily off road but might be my airport driver also (highway). Thanks for any advise.

This forum is the best place to start your search. Go through the H3 section and every possible question you my have has likely been discussed. Welcome

Searching the forums will answer any questions you have and probably many you haven't thought of. However, I would highly advise you get the Adventure package and an automatic transmission for a primarily offroad H3.

Thanks guys. Lots of good info on here for sure. Is the alpha worth the extra money?

After driving the I-5, the v8 wasn't worth the extra $6k+ to me. However, when my '07 starts getting long in the tooth and it's time for a new vehicle I'll probably trade it in on an '09/'10 Alpha w/offroad package.

If you do a lot of highway driving the V8 is probably worth it, but I like my I-5 just fine for my city commute.

If it helps, the I-5 is plenty for offroad.
