on a 2006 h3 awd, can the front driveshaft be removed and drivin with out it, if so would this tear up anything?, also if its possable wold you get better fuel milage? kinda dont see why awd would be needed in summer driving any help would be great and thanks in advance,

 

I don't think you'd tear up anything but you'd probably confuse the heck out of the car's computer if there were ever a need for stability control, traction in the rain, etc. I think it'd be a big risk for a nominal gain.

And ya know what? My 4WD gets used a LOT in the summer, running over trails, climbing over rocks
