After the first test drive, my wife and I were both very impressed with the ride, handling, and overall comfort of the H3. So, we began to get serious and look around. The initial test drive was a local small truck dealer who was selling an 06 H3 with 22k miles on it. It had a smell out the exhaust of coolant which I didn't like. So, we searched far and wide for a low mileage used model. Well, last Saturday we planned a trip to the DC area to look at 2 models. First, was an 08 Solar Flare with 12,500 miles on it from a Cadillac(former Hummer)Dealer. They recently lost their Hummer dealership because Hummer wanted them to build a separate building for Hummer's and they wouldn't do it. Imagine that! DC's largest Cadillac dealership, and only Hummer dealer! You can guess we didn't buy it. They let us walk! Good choice because there was some body issues on the passenger door and the CARFAX stated it had been a rental in Hawaii! No thanks! So, onto the next one which was in Arlington, this happened to be the lowest mileage 06 within our 150 mile search! And in the color we wanted too...YELLOW! The dealer worked with us on the price I wanted and away we went! Suprise to us! The dealer didn't know it was the Luxury Package model with the Monsoon system, off road package, and heated leather seats! Turns out, we got a MUCH better deal!
Well, already buying goodies to spruce it up. Can't get the wife out of the driver's seat either, BTW, she kept wanting to look at an H2! I looked at one the week before, and it's nice, just too big for me and a little out of budget. They wanted almost $30k for an 05 with 27k miles on it, and it wouldn't even start! See YA!

congrats. if you dont have the mudflaps already on it you might want to look at installing a set. husky liner mudflaps are a snap to install. i put mine on in 1/2 hour in -14 degrees

 

hi all and welcome to the forum,, i had a small question i bought the mudflaps from HUMMER own spare parts its original and quite pricey but they come with screwss and stuff do u know how to fix them anyone i like to try by my self if possible
