Default H3 cruise control

Hi guys, had a recent fault and found my brake light switch was stuck in, I pulled it apart and relubed it. Works great again now but my cruise isn't working, could the switch be slightly out of position? Or is there a fault code that needs to be reset before the cruise will work again?

Any help greatly appreciated

The code may trigger the cruise to be inoperable.

Have the code erased and report back with your findings.

X2 if the PCM thinks the brake is depressed, ie. stored code.

This is NOT entirely accurate because if the computer says the brake is pressed the code is there and will appear. Come one Tinter...

Wow HERPES, there seems to be a lot you might want to learn about modern vehicle technology before posting such rubbish.

Once an issue is fixed like the above issue. The idiot light will not be lit anymore but in most modern vehicles the body computer and engine computer "store codes" to be accessed later by a technician at a later date through the OBDII port. In this case the BCM may have stored a code or codes that do not show up with the blinking idiot light on instrument cluster thus the inoperable cruise control.

We are still waiting to see if this is the case from the OP.

Great! Looks like after a few cycles the stored code cleared.
