I programmed mine with the windows down while drving so that the backround noise would be higher than just sitting still. I have never had it tell me to repeat or to slow down.

You guys would absolutely HATE living down here (south FL) because EVERYONE and I do mean almost everyone drives with a cellphone glued to their ear! I know some day hubby will have to bail me out of jail because someidiot has hit me while yakkin on their phone totally oblivious to their surroundings and I will have shoved that cellphone up their (_(_)!![:@] I do use mine occasionally while driving (hazzard of myprofession),but ONLY with the headset. I wish FL would pass a law on that! My OnStar phone works fairly well, but I use it minimally because I cannot use it with my cell provider (Nextel)so I am saving those free minutes until they are about to expire anyway.

With some luck they will get hit on the side, slame cell phone AND head in to sidewindow ... think of the benefits here .. they would never have to hold it again .. it would be embedded in their stupid heads, PROBLEM SOLVED! Very crude but at least potentially effective hands free solution ...

I don't own a cell phone..so I know I'm not guilty of that...I have the POS built in car phone in the HUMMER that is as worthless as **** on a bore hog...You have to be standing still in an open parking lot just to get a call out or coming in..then if you manage to get the connection, the conversation is all broken up coming from me to the listener..with a terrible echo...Yes it has been checked out and all seems fine as I'm told..just our cell tower reception in my OKC area....[sm=bs.gif]..Oh well, it expires here in a few months, so no loss.
Yeah man. My On-Star cell reception is awsome. I can talk under bridges, in the worst weather, out in the boonies, and never EVER get static, drop a call, get garbles voices, nothing. They say the On-Star reception for cell service is 4 times greater then a standard cell phone. Speaking from experience I can tell you that is absolutely true. That's what you get for living up there in the boonies But if you have no use for it, who cares.

The new steering wheel grasping positions are now 9 and 3 since the Airbag system came out...Otherwise the 10 & 2 position would have a tendency you break your wrists when nthe air bag deployed..

If you want to talk about bad driving habits..talk to those countless ******** driving around with a cell phone stuck in their goddamn ear...Now that really pisses me off!!![:@][:@]

Whew!I feel better now
I think Dennis actually meant 6 and 9, not 9 and 3.....

Zyne, I have one word for you "DeCaf"... you certainly are oneopinionated dude. Oh, and thanks for letting Mike have his own opinion...that's mighty nice of you ...LOL....[sm=smiley20.gif]

I don't know if I'm more amazed that you're actually convinced that your right foot is more dexterous that your left one, or that you're equally asconvinced that brakingwith one footvs the other increases or decreases your probability to get into an accident. Do you alsothinkpeople who write with their left hand (you probably call that "wrong-handed") are less skilled in literary arts than those that write with there rights. What about people who are ambidextrous (yes they do exist)? Are they simply aimlessly wonderingand lost in a world, where oneday they'll just end up wrapped around a tree?

Listen, I'm not trying to bust your chops. I'm justtrying to make the point thatthere'smore than one way to skin a cat (...no offense to cat or animal lovers).

Zyne, unless you yourself havedone scientific studies (... not all this B/S about "I once heard, or I read somewhere...") regarding braking with your left foot, you have absolutelyNO legitimate proof that its the "wrong" way to drive...it may be unorthodox, I agree, and dangerous >> for those that do not master the skill <<,I agree there too. But to say thatjust because I brake with my left foot (and have been doing so successfully for over 30 years), that means I'm going to end up around a pole or a tree one day...that's absolutely ludicrous, which BTW leads me to my next point "arrogance"... Zyne, Zyne, Zyne, do yourself a favor...stop here and now. Don't go down this dark road, because its just getting worse buddy...!!!

Like I said before. I'm not trying to bust your chops, in fact, I've enjoyed the exchange of ideas here with others, evenwhenIdisagree, but Zyne, let it go or learn to -- accept -- what others think as "their opinion" without looking into your crystal ball and predicting some catastrophic event, simply because you disagree with the way they do whatever it is they do.

Hi Mike, no I don't live in Chicago, although I wouldn't mind that a bit. I've visited Chicago a few times and have had a lot of fun there - its a GREAT city. As for the Bears, they're a also a great team and I'll be root-ting (not sure how to spell that...) for them to win!!! [sm=roll.gif]Go Bears!!!
