Default H3 Alternator 17vdc at idle ...??

My battery was going and with 9 degrees out last couple nights it finally went . I assumed battery because had trickle charged 2 days before . When i took it in as the core at check out I noticed a sticker on the Bosch that it was July 17, .... not that old I bought the truck in Jan 2018.

I hooked up the new battery had a charge on it already of 13.93vdc which is high ??? Fired her up and 17.02 vdc

From my past experience that's an over charging status. Am I missing something ??? Is the alternator the guilty party battery killer ?

Can't Delete I think its my Multimeter thats bad ugh ......... my bad

Thanks
Jaws

Gotta ask. Are you still running the POS Crappy OEM Battery Terminal Connectors?

I have Stingers, but any quality brand will be significantly better than the OEM versions.
