I have to give a compliment to K&n, i got 2+ mpg better with the full FIPK kit, new plugs, and a cleaned throttle body tonight. I was at 2.5 mpg better for quite a while in town, it went down to about 2.1 so far and will stay there now with highway speeds involved.

went from 9 to 11+, im pretty happy with that. Ill report my findings on actual gas usage when i fill up next, that is based off of the 6.2 going to 8.4 tonight with the digital, it is off though since it isnt calibrated.

tune is next, im hoping to get a bit more out of it then too.

im not sure how much the tuners help but it is nice to have adjust-ability of tire size and stuff. if you can gain a bit from a tuner then thats great too.

i bought mine for the tire size mainly, ill see if i can get a bit more mpg out of it with that. i gained about 1-1.5 with mixed wheeling and driving with just the intake install to go with the exhaust that my h2 already had. if i can get into the 10-11s consistently ill be happy. I got 9 wheeling it and driving slow for the past 50 miles or so. i get 10-11 on the highway with it now. that is great imo, thats 22% gain in mileage over what it was when i bought it. most cars would kill for an increase like that.

I was getting 9 hwy max with the wind pushing me going down hill with all of the windows open and me running along side. it was closer to 6-7 when wheeling a bit inbetween.

just another review of the k&n to help out a bit,
steve

2004 H2 88k miles 15mpg highway, 14mpg highway with roof box. 12-13mpg local. My wife drives civic hybrid which does 40-45mpg. So household average mpg maybe somewhere between 25-30mpg......

my normal drive is a 2001 GMC sierra 1500 hd that gets 9.7 around town and if I'm lucky 12 on the highway so the H2's I'm looking at will be a huge improvement!
