I purchased a new oil pressure sending unit and ordered my 7 steeper motor kit with blue LEDs last. If the weather gets better today I will install the sending unit, if not both will be corrected on Thursday. I also have a loose drivers door molding that will be glued in place once it gets a little bit warmer.


I have to get these repairs done this week because I got a big fundraising event for the Reel American Heroes Foundation near Virginia Beach.

Got my oil pressure sending unit replaced yesterday, it is nice to know what the oil pressure is. I also received my stepper motor kit in the mail, 7 stepper motors and 10 blue LEDs. That's right, I am converting my cluster over from white to blue on Monday afternoon/Tuesday morning. Should be a fun project.

 

I don't recall if the stock gauge face is tinted blue but the escalade face I put in mine was tinted blue. I put in white LED's and everything lights up blue, it was unexpected but it looks great!

Today is the day I take out my instrument cluster to replace the stepper motors and LEDs. I am changing over to all blue LEDs from white. I start the project late afternoon and will put the instrument cluster back in tomorrow morning.

 

Here is the cluster completed, I still have about 15 minutes of work to button it up into the dash in the morning.
