apparently I hit her car with my tire also (what went inside her car??)... and that transmitted into the A-Arm and pushed in the frame.... enough to be out of spec...

The damage is paid for by the insurance company right?

ORIGINAL: Muddydawg75

Don't confuse the actual no fault definition with what people think it is... I am allowed to claim under my policy... even though she was ticketed and was the cause... the no-fault comes in with the injury side of it.... but I do not have the "Limited Tort" option on my policy....

here is some info:

Currently 11 states and Puerto Rico have no-fault auto insurance laws. Michigan, New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania have verbal thresholds. Florida’s no-fault law, which also had a verbal threshold, expired on October 1, 2007, but has been reenacted effective January 2008, see below. The other seven states—Hawaii, Kansas, Kentucky, Massachusetts, Minnesota, North Dakota and Utah—use a monetary threshold. Three states have a "choice" no-fault law. In New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Kentucky, motorists may reject the lawsuit threshold and retain the right to sue for any auto-related injury. Colorado’s law reverted back to the tort liability system in July 2003.
Yep NJ's No-Fault is different than MI. In over simplification, it really means you make your claim for your medical bills/wage loss and property damage (auto repairs) thru your own insurance carrier. You can recoup your deductible in MI up to $500.00 from the other driver if they caused the accident (called a mini tort), or if you bought "broad form" collision coverage your insurance company will waive thedeductible if the other driver was more than 50% at fault in causing the accident.

Bummer MuddyD, but the duece will runthru mud bogs again!!!

Sorry about the wreck Muddy I have been there before I know what Your going through. My SUT has been in the body shop a couple times from wheeling accidents. My last goof started off at $2000 and ended up over $7000 after they found hidden damage. I never replaced the lower plastics or day time running lightslast time which saved $1200 about the cost of a road armor base bumper. I was there for 95% of the repairs my buddy owns a body shop. there isnt much to the H2 up front. the tow hook is very strong but everything else is designed to fold like a can. Hopefully the road armor bumper is as good as I hear it is.Mylast hitwas at about 1-2 mph on a boulder squeezing down a creek. i was amazed at the estimates. I T-Boned a f250 doing 45MPH in my 84 K5 blazer. I had $400 in damage $220 of it was labor. They sure dont build them like they used to thats for sure !!!!!!!!
