Default H2 Crash Durability Story

On Friday I was driving north on the local freeway in the snow when a black pickup spun out in front of me forcing me to evade him. My H2 went 180 degrees and I am now facing traffic. Luckily here in Colorado this is not too uncommon and the traffic comes to a stop allowing the vehicles to right themselves and proceed. Well, while I was at a complete stop in the middle of the freeway, a Toyota Rav4 from ~100 feet starts sliding and hits my front lower drivers side bumper probably ~35 MPH. We moved out vehicles to the side and while the Toyota's quarter panel, bumper, etc... were trashed, I literally had a 6" scratch and a slightly pushed in plastic piece above the bumper!

Her comment? Man, I should have bought a Hummer! I was found not liable and we were both physically OK...

I also feel safe on my Hummer, last year I accidentally rear ended a car infront on me while waiting for a traffic light. The car was trashed almost total, while I only bent the front plate on my Hummer, hahaha...

Snowing like crazy here the past few days and it is so nice to jump in the Hummer and drive through town with out fear of getting stuck. I love my H2.

I do agree about the safety. I never understood the stories of people claiming the poor durability in crashes. Something as big, as heavy, with as much metal-no way it isn't safe!
