I have a 08 H2 lux and the doors sporatically will auto lock when you get out of the vehicle and leave the keys in, I am awaiting a call from the GM engineers but thought I would ask you first. Is this just my gremlin or repairable?

 

Maybe check the DIC to see if there is an AUTO-LOCK FEATURE??

 

Already re-set and 08 no ability to deactivate auto locks

 

Who would want a feature like that? Does OnStar open them for you? There has to a way to deactivate that.

I never shut the door when my key is still inside, even though my car never does that. Just in case. Autolock should only be activated when you are driving above certain speed, or, when you have shut the engine and the key is not inserted in (but in your incase it'a a keyless entry eystem), I guess autolock doesn't really know if the key's in your pocket with you or in the car seat. It just wants to keep burglars and unfortuantely you, as well, out.

 

The thing that sucks is that it is extremely random. I can not duplicate this with any consistancy.[:@]
