Default h1 insurance,,,how much??

im actually thinking of plunging into an h1,(b4 I die!) and I really cant afford it almost!.
a factor in the payments is the insurance.
whats a figure for minimal coverage on a financed h1?

btw, since I don't know my end date!, I want to do the plunge NOW...

It varies, just like with any vehicle. Depends on the year, and what model and what coverage you want. You can get a rough estimate quickly just by calling your agent. I just googled and found a ton of info what people pay for insurance for their h1's. Just google it. The ones I saw are about 800 to 1100 per year.

Just a tip if you're still looking..

Finance through a credit union that does "classic/rare/exotic" vehicles. I talked my credit union into doing a rare vehicle finance for me. Regular rates for pre-2000 vehicles were in the 6% range, but I got 2.99% due to the H1 being a rare or military style vehicle.

For insurance, I went through AAA by adding it to my existing policy, but not many insurance companies will want to touch an H1 for some reason. Even AAA gave me a hard time at first and didn't want to cover it. It ended up being $1300/yr for full coverage ($500 deductible). I'm 27 years old with a clean driving record.. and we have the highest insurance rate in the nation due to our no-fault coverage and being in the Detroit area.
