The angled radiator should be a big help. Our flat cooling stack contributes negatively to the operating temperatures we run. Are your 4 piston calipers on 12" rotors?

I believe they are the same but I'm not 100% on it but I think the rear brakes was upgraded also, I know the rotors are finned in the rear. That was one more thing I for got to say about the M1152, when the M1151 was made it came with the turbo and also a 20% larger radiator so that why the front hear light isn't built into the hood anymore.

I really love my job and the HMMWV has also been a love hate thing with me but with the M1165 I can tear it apart and rebuild it just because I love it. I really hope one day to find a 2 door HMMWV and find the Oshkosh recap kit and paint it flat black and have it for the harder trail and to roll around the city with the doors off and the soft top!!!!

Havent gotten to play with the Tak-4's yet, how are they to deal with? better or worse than the Maxxpro's or MATV's ?

Never seen the tak-4 on a HMMWV. The MATV was Oshkosh first MRAP and they made it perfect the first time. The Tak-4 should of never been put on the Maxxpro because is rises it 4 more inches then it already is but I haven't heard anything about the roll over rate.

I was involved with the AMG & GM actory racing teams for years as well as pikes peak and Dakar projects and most our experience was with the non alpha geared hubs which ran flawlessly at 110mph+ they are stronger with square cut gears whereas as already correctly noted the alphas were cut in a helix to try to eliminate the rocking experienced at stop signs and off road at slow speeds and hopefully cut noise although I never noted any specific noises from the geared hubs but of course an H1 running at high speeds off road isn't exactly silent. I wouldn't change the hubs and routine highway speeds are not a problem for any H1 and you'll save a few thousand dollars.
