Well, those are two piece wheels and Goodyear MTR tires, not GSAs so apparently the seller doesn't know that much about them either. Send the VIN to hummech and let him pull a service history on it.try to find out when the lasr C service was done. Check for rust underneath and body panel corrosion. Check and make sure everything works. Check for the jack, owners manual, CTIS hose, etc are with the truck. Let us know what you find out.

I saw the car and took it for a test drive. When you mentioned the Wheels, is that a problem for this car? I saw just one small bit of a rust. I had a good friend of mine come with who doesnt know much about hummers but know a good deal about cars in general. he said the front "boot covers for the shocks" needed to be replaced and the transaxel was leaking? The dealership said they could fix those two items..it drove real nice and seemed in great condition besides that. what do you think based on that? They are sending me the service history now..

The wheels are a nice OEM upgrade. If they will fix what is wrong with and your mechanic thinks it is in good condition then it is all good. Let us now what the vehicle history says.

They said they didnt have the servicve records...and then told me someone else made an offer as is. So i decided not to make an offer without the records.

Default What about an older H1?

What do you guys think about buying an older H1. There has been a 1994 listed on Ebay for sometime. Hummer : H1 Custom Leath in Hummer | eBay Motors

Do you think one this old may be more trouble than its worth?

Nice looking truck, except for those tires and wheels, they would have to go. Probably overpriced, even as nice as that looks.

The older trucks are simpler and less problematic than the newer trucks. All mechanical instead of electrical.

I agree about the wheels and tires....WAY TOO HOLLYWOOD! I think they are high on the price also. looks like they really cleaned it up and added a few things. I would leave it plain jane and change wheels tires and do some serious off road work with it.

Any way to calculate a fair price for that truck? I also have a friend in Dallas who is willing to go take a look and drive it.

My guess would be mid to maybe high 30s on a price.
