That is a question with multiple correct answers. The 04 has the same interior as the Alpha and front and rear lockers. Outside of the Alpha Or 04 I would lean to the 97.5 or 98 models

What you want to do with it, budget, desired configuration, etc all play into it. I am happy to answer any questions.

This will be a daily driver on a Ranch in Montana. I want the best vehicle I can get for $65-75 ish. Really want a 2006 Wagon but don’t think I can spend that much. We will off-road it a little but nothing serious. Just wondering if picking one up for less and having our desired mods done (new interior) is a better option than purchasing one ready to go? We currently have a H2 and H3 and are ready to get the real thing. We will keep this vehicle forever so we just want to make the best choice the first time. Ideally we want two… a very nice Wagon for my wife’s daily driving and a less expensive slant back which could be used for serious fun. I noticed you like the 98 as an option. Would that be a better value? What sets it apart from the newer options?
I am used to buying and selling airplanes and always have go to guys that I trust to do pre-purchase inspections. Unfortunately I don’t know much about H1s and don’t have a go to Hummer guy to help me out with this purchase. Again I really appreciate you taking time to answer some questions.

Here's a questions for 3hummers... I found a 2006 alpha wagon with 109k for about 67K.. What kind of mileage do you think we can obtain, or what would need to be replaced right off the bat, to be considered a daily driver? thanks

Is that the truck up around Tulsa? You can get 13.5-14 mpg. No way to know what it might need. Make sure emissions is good on it.
