Default GT Inc. OEM wheels

Picked these up used. They were defiantly used. I couldn't get the rings off so I had to drill out each one. You have to remove the rings to change the tires. Then when I took the rings off I noticed the cut lip on the wheel had put a nice slit all the way around the tires where the ring touches the tire. So I removed the tires and machined the lip on the wheel so it had a rounded lip instead of a sharp one. Then I sand blasted and powdered the wheel again. Got all new hardware for the rings and got bronze washers which I think are a nice touch. They look like copper but they are actually silicone dipped bronze which appear to be copper which I like a lot. The black bolts are the bolts that hold the ring on the wheel and the rest are just for show. They are all stainless and I sealed them with clear coat. I also put anti-seize on each bolt so I would not have any issues removing them when it's time. I then painted the rings black. I painted the hubs black with some black rust stop. I'm going to leave the caps off because I ordered some black lug nuts which I think will make these wheels look real sharp. I know most people think these are for show as they are often referred to as simulated bead lockers. They actually serve a purpose, the rings are very beefy allowing the lip to take much more abuse than the stock rolled lip. They also protect the valve stem from getting damaged. They are easily replaced so if you damage one your not replacing the entire wheel. Lastly the real reason I wanted these is that I'm having some disk made that will cover the entire wheel and I can use the rings to bolt them to. Then when I'm on the trail my wheel and lugs will be 100% protected. I bought them to resell but I liked them too much so I went ahead and kept them.

Great looking wheels Brodie, I like the bronze accents too! Does anyone make "bronze" lug nuts? Might look great also.

Can't wait to see them in person!

WHERE ARE YOUR ROCK BASHERZ????

Always been a fan of the GT Inc wheels, they look great! I say swap out all the stainless bolts for the black bolts but thats just me. I do really like the bronze accents though! They do look pretty cool without the center caps also.

VERY nice man! Those wheels look awesome! Especially in the close-up, detail shots... you can definitely see the work you put into them.

One question though, how come you don't have any rock bashers?

I just got done refinishing my frame. It's all painted now and the bottom edge has bed liner on it. I'm getting professional pictures taken of my truck for the bashers so everything needs to look sharp.
