Anyone ever pierce your tire on some granite? The upper peninsula of michigan has its share. Thinking about some 10 ply firestone destinations 305 70's anybody tried em?

I wheel Drummond Island twice or more per year and I've not had an issue with the sidwalls of my Mickey Thompson MTZs. 3ply sidewalls (2 plys stright 1 ply at an angle for added puncture strength) do a great job and still plenty of flex.

Firestone Destination MTs don't have any siping which we need here for the snow and ice in the winter. Plent of 305s out there with the siping you and I need for the winter months.

I have an old friend that lived down by me on Torch Lake near Alden. Dan is part of a big deer camp there, use to be over twenty guys. I use my H3 year round and was thinking the Firestone Destination A/T's. I drive a lot up here to Munising, to Marquette area in Big Bay and take the AAA road across to Skaney near Lanse. Heard the AT's are better with the sipage and super durable when om road driving. Thats the shortcut to my other house on Western End of U.P. near Ironwood. Good spots to get into to catch hog brookies near Preaque Isle River on Copper Creek right off the Porky Pine MT. State Park proprty line on the NW corner. When river is down you can pretend your cayacking from pool to pool in your Hummer. Even caught a brookie fishing out of the Moon roof.

 

Yeah, ATs would prob be a better choice if you want to stick with the Firestone brand.
