Is it possible to replace the stock radio with a stock gps type radio ? I have a 2003 h2 and would like to put a gps type radio from a 04 , or 05 model h2 . Is it possible or a hassle ?

 

Yes I installed a factory Nav unit and an XM module in an 03 H2 that I had. It worked great. In fact I still have the step by step instructions that I purchased for the swap. I would sell them for $20 if that will help.

What all would you need to do a conversion like that? mine is a 03' with adventure package. came with the bose 6 cd indash stereo but no nav.

1.head unit
2. gps antenna?
3. nav cd?
4. wiring harness?

I see the nav head units running about 400 bucks on ebay.

 

If I remember right there are two different nav units one with the bose amp and one without. My 03 had the bose so I bought a used Nav unit from an '05 H2 and a new GPS antenna from the chevy dealer along with a XM module. I installed all of them and it turned out great. I love the XM radio and was glad to have the touchscreen radio.

I still have the stock 6 disc head unit in perfect shape for sale if anyone needs one. $125
