My 07 H3 comes with navigation system....With all honesty, I think GM should of let a contractor like Garmin build their GPS....It is not user friendly and the roads are not well defined like a Garmin....Anyways...Here is the issue I have with mine. Living in Canada, I like my GPS in KM's instead if miles. I go under Nav preference and I switch it to KM's without any problems. I travel and all the info is giving to me in KM's until I stop the vehile. As soon as I turn the ignition off and then back on, I lose that preference. The GPS goes back to miles which I assume is the default....Is there anyway to correct this annoying problem? does anyone have the same issue like I have or is the GPS malfunctionning?

For some reason, I don't think it's a software problem....I tend to think it's a hardware problem.....I could be wrong...Does anyone know how I could find out without having to take it to the dealer and pay $100 an hour to find out that nothing could be done? Is there a GM help line phone number?

 

i could fill pages with idiotic stuff i run into as a gageteer!,and handyman repair guy. i say it 1000s of times "if the maker installed just one,hed change it"
this sounds like one of those dumb things that didnt get "finished"

I have the 2010 nav disc from GM and it has a option when you press the configure button to change it from miles to km. Maybe your disc is outdated and you should get this one, or maybe you can change it in the Nav Setup screen. I hope that helps you out buddy.
