Default Got new tires. Time for shocks?

Put on new Cooper ATP's. LT285/7516. E load range, so a bit stiffer than Bridgestones that came on it. Just wondering if it's time for shocks? Still running factory shocks that came on adventure model. Is it due after 8 years, 65,000 miles? If so, what kind do you suggest?

8 years and 65,000 miles. Yep, you would definitely benefit from some new shocks.

I have decided to go with the Bilsteins. Just not sure if I should do the 4600 or 5100. I'm trying to do a little upgrade over the stock shocks that came on the adventure model. Mostly do in town and highway driving, light offroad when hunting. Looking for better feel and control without being too stiff. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Ive read that the adventure model shocks are good shocks. However, at ur current mileage, any new set of shocks will be better that what you have at the moment.
I ran 5100, liked them. Dont have any experience with the 4600s. Currently running 5160s on the Alpha front, 5100s rear, offroad the ride was perfect.

I went with monroe monotubes and they are perfect. Huge difference in ride and control, and very comfortable. Nice price too, around $200 for all 4. Lifetime warranty.

New monotube high pressure performance gas shock design.

The Monroe Reflex units have the patented Impact Sensor Technology, and combines specially tuned valving and a Fluon banded piston.

The Impact Sensor valve has the ability to sense acceleration to improve the handling, safety, and overall driving characteristics of most vehicles.

The Impact Sensor base valve will sense a bump in the road and automatically adjust the shock to absorb the impact, leaving the shock with greater control when it is needed.

Are you guys saying that the Bilstein 4600 shock is the same as the stock shock on the adventure package H3 ?
I am interested in these shocks and i want something just about the same as the adventure shock I currently have on my 3.
Thanks

Google it, and read the reviews, "bilsteins give a stiff/hard ride, and pricey".. I have the adventure package, I installed the monroe monotubes. These shocks, outperform oe shocks, and are very comfortable to ride on. Besides that, the monotubes are cheaper than the bilsteins, with the same warranty. Works for me.
