Currently I have two over-under 12 guage shotguns and one side by side 12 guage shotgun.I brought 4 of these handmades back from overseas and gave one nice side-by-side to my dad. I am in the market for a handgun, but I haven't decided what I want yet. Probably a 9mil beretta because that is what I used to fire and it is familiar.

ZGx you know your stuff. The M4 is awesome and the EO Tech also. Glock isn't my pistol of choice but I know lots of people that like them. When it comes to the AR there are some great mfg. but you have to go with Colt.

Thank you 3Hummers. I would like to have a Colt Series 70 reworked, refinished and have a Dawson rail attached for a light to carry on duty but right now, the Glock just won't stop running, carries more rounds and won't rust. There have been reported problems with the 21 models but I seem to have gotten lucky.

Again, thank you. The M4 Commando is a close second to the Benelli as far as being my baby. It is compact and does everything I need it to do without worry of it failing. Then again, it is a Colt! I would also like a Noveske as they too are top notch. But as mentioned earlier, I don't really want "a lot" of weapons and would rather go for purpose fullfillment and quality over quantity so I can do without.

Just have to finish paying off these toys/tools and then I can apply the same amount of time researching, purchasing and equipping the H3. Am thinking a Truck Vault in the back of the black Alpha, with the weapons and vest in foam cutout would be an arrousing (for lack of a better word) sight!

ZGX my favorite pistols to shoot are my Colt 70 Series Gold Cop National Match .45 pistols. 2 blues and one is finished in nickel out of the custom shop. They are so sweet. For old technology they are real tack drivers also.

3H,

Well you definitely have great taste, won't sacrifice on quality and own a solid pool of pistols in which to base your experience! I think I am pretty much decided on pursuing one at some point. I am 100% confident in the ability of my 21C to resolve whatever threat I may meant in the course of my duties but as you mentioned, for old (insert: reliable) technology they get the job done. The 1911 is a combat pistol and when needed on the streets, it is combat thus the pistol's bread and butter!

Was thinking of going with the Colt Series 70 (Reissued) in matte blue as a base. Then having Specialized Armament add some tweaks such as the Ed Brown safety, a Dawson light rail, Strider Gunner Grips in black, an X300 with Dawson adaptor and refinished to mil-spec standard as is on my Commando. Reliability and more than adequate combat accuracy and it's a winner. Regardless, either way I still have the old and trusted .45 ACP to work with! Has gotten to the point where I just cannot shoot a 9MM or .40 S&W as they bore me lol.

That Walthers P22 is a real tack driver too.... My ex had one and I was very impressed with it..... There's one at the gun dealer I bought my contender from and I'm seriously considering it....

I used to do a lot of reloading when I was shooting a lot and the .45 is such an easy round to load. I got rid of my 9mm pistols because the cases crimp/crush so easily. I was shooting/loading about 500 rounds per week andthe .45 was painless to reload. I really liked my Sig 220s also. I ran a lot of rounds through my Dillon 550.

I thought about getting into reloading, because of the rising price of rounds (.45 as well, ouch). I don't get to shoot enough here (atleast in the civilian world) for it to pay off. I can't wait to get out of New York.
