Goin Back to 285's from 315's to help Alignment Issues
I think the only way to address my alignment issues is to go back down to 285's and ditch the 315's. It seems that the 315's are just too heavy and keep throwing the alignment out going over normal bumps and dips in the highway... not even off road!
Steering wheel comes out alignment shop straight then 50 miles later it's off-center again. They are saying the weight of the tires is causing it and now I'm tending to believe it although others don't seem to have this issue running 315's.

Not sure if that will help you. however i can tell you my 09 H3 was leveled and aligned by my dealer for me before i took delivery. they do it all the time for $75.00 plus tax. i put 7000miles on it leveled with the stock 33's and the steering wheel has always been dead on straight and the vehicle tracks straight when you take your hands off the wheel. Then i put the 315 duratracs on and have close to 5000miles on them. the steering wheel is still dead on straight and tracks straight with your hands off the wheel!
if the alignment is done proper and locked in, and your wheels arent bent and your tires are true then a larger tire shouldnt throw off an alignment unless you are curb jumping.

It could just be the tires... they are new and have a more rounded top than the Duratracs or the Kumho MT's or Toyo MT's I had in the past... Maybe they need to wear down a bit...

U may be onto something there. I had a CJ7 back in the day and put a 4 inch lift and 35's on it. Had no issues till I got the 35's, afterward I was all over the road following rain groves, worn roads would wear me out... after about 12-15k on the tires it quit and settled back down, I was just about to get rid of the dang thing when it started acting right again. I took it in for two alignments in that time and they told me it was dead on both times.????

Never heard of such an issue until now. Sounds more like the nose was adjusted too high, rather than a tire problem? You could always try going down 1/2" - 3/4" in the front and see what happens.
Or, you could buy tires made in the USA, like Coopers or Mickey Thompsons.

It is possible the shop that mounted them for you glazed over the balancing (they hate big tires like that). I know in the first little bit of driving you are supposed to take it very easy on large tires as not to unbalance them.
I have had no issues with my 315's, the drive smoother than my 285's! Then again I had the best tire guy in town mount them for me
