Default GM good faith warrnties

so I bought my 07 tactical a few months ago and have a couple issues I want to take the truck to the dealer for:

vent blower. yes, my blower has stopped functioning and read all about the known issues and no real factory fix.

windshield vertical pillar is making noise in cross winds. again, a known issue, but no definitive factory fix.

bot issues are design flaws and not wear and tear issues IMO.

I bought an extended warranty through the dealer i got it from. (ford dealer in town). because it is an electrical issue, they want me to take it to the only GM dealer in my town and have them service it.

my question is, what kind of response or help have you been getting for warranty issues for vehicles under the stated 5 year / 50,000 mile warranty period? is there any help from the dealer in getting GM to honor any or much of the product line? just kinda curious as the GM dealer in my community (I live in the middle of no where) only has one certified hummer tech, but the town here has a TON of H2/3's on the road.

Yes, you can get support directly from GM. Having the thermostat replaced on her 07 H3X now, dealer came back with a $850+ before taxes bill... there's only 20,000 miles on it (yes under 21,000 just turned to 20) and we had to get angry with GM but they said they would cover half of it, and are investigating the case now, may not have to pay for anything...

I have found from experience and fellow owners posting, that the Cadillac dealers are about the best for honoring warranty coverage. So if there is one even remotely close, I would go there first.
