I have a guide on getting to the door handles for an H2 '03 model but it doesn't help much with an '07 model as it's looks alot different. Can anyone find me a guide on how to get to the door handles for an '07 model. And I mean get to the door handles form the inside, so no smartasses saying "Walk up to the door and wallah!"[8D]

 

i can't imagine it's that different. unscrew the inner door grab handle and remove; pop out the window controls and disconnect the wiring harness; pop off the inner door molding, making sure to disconnect the light at the bottom rear of the door - that should get you to the inner workings of the door. other than that, you stole my thunder for my inital response.

Nah when you take everything off there is metal between you and the door handle with only one hole to get ONE of the screws off other than that I cant really find a way up and in there. Unless I'm doing something wrong. The guide says I have to like pop the window off the hinge and pull it down etc.

 

ok, that metal panel is the rain deflector, and should just be caulked to the door frame (this is from the 2003 shop manual but i can't imagine they changed the non visible parts). it says to use a flat bladed tool to break the seal on the rain deflector to get it off. hope this helps
