I just had the g2 4:88 installed in my 03 for 895 for parts and 600 labor...

 

where you located? I dont have many options where I'm at unless i wanted to drive somewhere for a few days :/

 

I say do the 4:88 That's what I want to do, like to hear the opinions of those who have done it

 

I installed the 4.88 in mine with 40" Toyo MT's. My MPG went up 25%. Went from 8MPG to 10MPG. I changed the gears after I rebuilt my transmission after the previous factory rebuilt transmission only lasted 30,000 miles because it would have a hard time staying in 4th gear due to big tires and stock gears. Changing the gears will pay for themselves in the long run. I should have installed a front locker at the same time.

 

I have stock ratio on 37's and I used the superchips programmer to adjust my speedo. I am not having any problems with it.

 

Jarod, where are you located? where did you have the install done?

 

Is this the right parts list we need for upgrading the gears? I'm going to buy all this and find a local shop....
