Default Gas Mileage

Lately I have been getting crap from people about having a HUMMER (like they pay my gas bill), but I get 13.4 MPG, at least thats what the readout says. Do you think the readout is correct, I have never figured it out manually.

My 2003 H2 average much less than that by the computer ( 10.8 I think ) Don't remeber ever calculating it manually.

i guess it would depend on what kind of hummer you're talking about.13.4 is pretty good for an H2, not so good for an H3, and might be good for an H1 - don't know what they should be.

I would be very happy with 13+ on the H1s.

I show 13.4 on my readout out as well and have not reset it since I got the truck. So from my perspective thats a pretty good average, so I never really cared about checking it.

i don't look at mine anymore. after looking at the instant mileage while i was pulling the camper, uphill, i got too depressed. now i ignore it - maybe it will go away . . . .[X(]

i do know i'll never, ever, rely on the "range" reading again. especially not when the next exit is 10 miles away in the middle of Nevada . . . . . [:@]

Lots of threads about this already, elsewhere!

10-15mpg on a US Gallon. More on a Canadian gallon, since gallons and dollars are bigger there now.

Depends if you drive in city or highway, or both. Also depends on if you have a lead foot, altitude, and millions of other variables.

13.4 is great overall on an H2, even a new one.
