Default FYI: H2's OEM Shock Absorbers - AC Delco product ID's

Just received and will be installing new OEM shock absorbers real soon and thought I would share the product ID's for the AC Delco replacements in case anyone is interested.

I currently have 75,000 miles on my 2006 H2. No concerns with the current OEM shocks; but, I like to be proactive.

Thank you for these! I am looking at replacing shocks but am wondering if there are any better riding ones? The H2 is spent 99.99% hwy driving.

Humvee21; yes, the shocks I listed are the ones which originally come on the H2. Made by AC Delco for the GM label.

Well, for anyone who cares... I contacted ACDelco about these shocks as these weren't the original shocks that were on our H2's. Apparently ACDelco discontinued the original shock (GM P/N 89040182) and that the ones posted in the OP by Doberman_Fan are now the direct OEM alternatives.

The difference is that the original front shocks on the H2 had an internal bump stop in the shock that worked in conjunction with the frame-mounted jounce bumper, while the new part number doesn't.

Also, FYI the 540-484 rear shock is for the off-road suspension package. This came standard with the Adventure package, which also included air suspension. If you have the Base model or Luxury package, the shock is ACDelco 540-2.
