Hey Gang,
Just wanted to say thanks to all the people here who over the years gave me some great advise on fixing and maintaining my 2006 H3 Hummer.
Unfortunately, 4 weeks ago the engine blew on the first day of my summer holidays (long story/longer day) and that put an end to our relationship.
The hummer was sold last week to a guy that's going to make it into a custom low rider.
I'm still going to miss it, even with all it's little quirks and known engine problems, I still made it to 159,000 miles (256,000 kilometres) with proper maintenance and steady synthetic oil changes....
Who knows what my next vehicle will be?

well thanks for the report. high mileage like that inspires me. im hoping my h3 outlasts me!. im at 70000. and lubing it well like you.

 

Its like a once powerful king exchanging the crown for a baseball hat worn sideways

 

I like some lowered vehicles, but a Hummer? NO! NO! NO! lol.

 

My last two vehicles were Toyota 4Runners.....those things just start breaking in at 150k. Recently bought my 2007 H3 with 102,000 miles. Hoping it lasts me a good while. I only drive about 5k to 7k a year.

 

Sorry gang...I feel your pain, but once he payed me I had no control over his plans for the old girl.
At least she'll breath some life again some day.
