I had the black "anodized" cap, and it turned copper. They will send you a new one, but it's a real hassle to swap out every few months. Don't waste you time/money on it.

I don't care for chrom much, and don't have much but I went with this cap from adv4x4:

Had it for about 7 months now, no rust or anything bad i can think about it, except maybe lack of a tether to hold it. but I don't really care about that.

Oh, and I did not bother with the Chrome ring that goes around the outside edge, it's just a piece of chrome with some doublesided 3m tape on the back.

i agree with everyone else. if there isn't any other chrome on your rig, i see no reason to start there. black FTW.

Thinking about putting one on my Tactical, don't want the lock though. I have way too many keys as is. Agree with General, looks like the only other chrome on your trucks is the grill so stay with the black theme IMO, unless you plan on putting more chrome on it.

If you're not adding any chrome pieces then go for the black. If you do plan to add some chrome pieces then go with the OEM Chrome.

I would go for the black...too many shiny things on your truck gives away your position, IMO. Don't want to give those poor little helpless woodland creatures, exploring a quiet stretch on a back country road, too much of a heads-up to get out of the way!

I've been trying to decide which door to get as well...a lot of them on the market. I know I want black and a lock...and now I know not to get the predator model. Anybody else have a fuel door they LOVE, the OEM is cool but doesn't lock. I'd refinish one in black if it did.

I just installed the OEM chrome one. I really didn't like the install, lol. My first one was retarded so I ordered another and it was fine.

Cliff: If you're still interested in swappingyour chrome mirrors for my black, let me know!
