I dont know who I should believe. Somebody says that the hummer h3 uses in the city 14,5 about 13 litre between 15 litre.

 

I live in houston texas and always get 13.9 mpg no matter how i drive. personal worst is 12 mpg. On a long stretch of flat highway i get about 15 at 65 mph. I also have 35" bfg km2.

 

I live in Dallas and I routinely get 15.5 mpg city economy (15.18 L per 100 Kms) and I've seen lower than 15 only once and that was with premium shell fuel (go figure!). Last week I checked and got better than 17.5 mpg which is 13.44 L per 100 Kms. On the highway I get 20 mpgs (11.76 L per 100 Kms). I have the standard Goodyear RTS tires for now but they are junk so I'll be upgrading to 33" BFG ATs in a few months. I'll probably get a bit lower fuel economy but I don't expect much. I have a 2006 I5 engine which I guess is 220 hp so that's the 164 KW. This is pretty much what you've been told as well. I don't drive with a lead foot too much.

Fuel also plays a huge role. Here in Texas its almost time for us to switch to "summer blend" fuel. Its supposed to make less smog... but it drops fuel economy. Being in Europe, you may have similar fuel. I haven't had my truck in Summer yet so I'm anxious to see what I get!

How much is a litre of fuel there?

 

My first tank of city driving was 13 mpg. The ethanol is killing my mpg.

I found 2 gas stations that dont have Ethanol in their gas and will be filling up there. My minivan took a 2 mpg hit using the Ethanol blend.

Am taking my H3 to Florida ( 1,000 miles) in a few weeks. Will set the cruise at 60 mph and see if I can get 20 mpg ??

 

You'll get run over tryin to do 60 in Fla Does your York County refer to the one in ME?

I get 13 around town and 10 when 4 wheeling, just don't track it and it won't matter...lol
